Evolving Minds Services is a heart-driven, family-centered business providing in-home help for families of children with special needs. Founded by Diana Chuldzhyan, a mother and Education Specialist with over 20 years of experience, our mission is to give families the tools, ideas, and confidence they need to help their children grow at home and beyond.
Diana’s journey started in high school with the Best Buddies club. Every Tuesday at lunch, she and her friends would hang out with peers with disabilities, sharing real conversations and building genuine friendships. Those early days taught her the true power of inclusion and connection. Right after high school, she began working for LAUSD in both one-on-one and classroom settings, learning firsthand how to meet the unique needs of every child she worked with. Wanting to make an even bigger difference, she earned her Education Specialist credential and later completed her Master’s in Special Education with a focus on Evidence-Based Practices. These experiences deepened her commitment to helping children thrive and gave her the tools to better partner with families.
As the founder of Evolving Minds Services, Diana has spent her career helping children of all abilities, from toddlers to school-age students. As a parent herself, she knows how draining and overwhelming it can be to navigate systems that don't always see your whole child or your whole family. That experience drives her to offer services that are effective, caring, and culturally sensitive. A proud member of the Armenian community, Diana started Evolving Minds Services to fill a gap in family-centered, in-home guidance. She has a special talent for helping kids communicate by creating practical, low-tech tools like visual boards, symbol cards, and daily systems families can really use. She’s worked with many children who use AAC or benefit from clear, visual routines that help them express themselves.
Beyond communication, Diana is passionate about understanding why behaviors happen and finding gentle, proactive ways to help. She works side by side with families to create simple, realistic plans that build emotional regulation, independence, and consistency at home and at school. Her goal isn’t just to “fix” behavior, but to help children and families feel seen, connected, and understood.
At Evolving Minds Services, we believe that when families feel encouraged and equipped, children thrive. We’re here to be part of your journey, every step of the way.
